Guest guest
(I think) Pete said something on the lines of... It is easy being you. It is not so easy being starving children in Africa or being people in war in Iraq! It is easy to say all is just a dream. It is not so easy in the 'real world', where people do 'live'! ###### >> It is easy being you. It is NEVER easy being a 'me'. And, it is even HARDER 'pretending' to be a " you " ! Of course, both 'me', 'you' in above apply to pretty much any entity who tries to think of it as a 'me' or 'you' as might be the case ... But, coming back to the 'personal' Arvind ... Yes, indeed 'Arvind' can not be said to have had a particularly difficult or challenging life situation. In fact, in many aspects, he might be said to have been FAR MORE comfortable, 'well fed', 'well brought up' and having FAR more amenities than ...Ramana, Niz or even Buddha! Though, Buddha was a prince, he was born long before the advent of electricity, air conditioner, airplanes and motorcars. He NEVER got to taste Mocha at Starbucks, Orange Dream machine at Jambha Juice, he never flew on top of Mount Everest, Grand Canyon, Niagara or Pacific Ocean or he NEVER saw so many varieties of Roses... But are WE INDEED all lot happier and more 'comfortable' than them and other LESS 'privileged' ones elsewhere in the world! If you look at the number of suicides, number of people suffering from depression, number of people dependent on DRUGS, alcohol ...people who can NOT live with 'themselves'; the picture doesn't look that Simple! ( for even a BETTER demo, look at democrats fighting with Republicans and vice versa, watch ‘national’ TV or News ...) Some are worried and DEPRESSED about their sagging or non-existing boobs, some about the sagging skin, non- existing biceps. Some are worried about Not having women that they really WANT! Some because of NEEDING Viagra to Perform! ....and, you wonder, CAN the PHYSICAL Expansion EVER really match the Infinite Mental capacity to Create PROBLEMS...????? ......... ....and, " how much " of your PROBLEMS are just Mental! Some because of NEEDING Viagra to Perform! ......and, then ENTERS, Jennifer Aniston who has " seemingly " gotten it All! Until, her seemingly 'perfect' husband Brad Pitt runs way with a woman who might be even 'better' than 'having it all' Jennifer Aniston! And, that REMINDS you of the ENDLESS WAR, STRUGGLE, Comparison and Pain of 'Better and worse'! The Difference, which is simply intrinsic to Diversity! The endless, bottomless PAIN which is 'guaranteed', when looking for the Image of self and self approval in the eyes of others. A child in Somalia, how 'Happy?' the life of 'X' in USA might bee, the 'X' in USA wondering about the life of many INSTNAT Millionaires through stock and Real Estate " loot " ! .....and, there is Bill Gates to wonder about for those Millionaires! Arnold S. who is rich, famous, married to a Kennedy as well as the Governor of the richest state, which Bill can wonder about. And, of course Arnold can wonder about .... " getting reelected, perhaps! " And, the cycle goes on... And, you somehow begin to understand who people like Elvis Presley, Marlin Monroe might have thought of taking excess drugs or committing suicide. As a famous philosopher once said: ------------ SUCCESS is inversely proportional to the distance between what you have and what you WANT! ------- Only success is to want FULLY exactly what you have NOW!
