Thanks for posting this. Sometimes at Nisargadatta.net I get a question

about Maharaj's loft and the main thing I can point is the address:

Khetwadi, 10th Lane, Mumbai. Till you posted your experience, I didn't

know if the house was still in the family's possession or its

condition. Recently someone mailed me boxes of Maharaj tapes, notes,

etc that I am thinking of starting a Maharaj center of some sort but I

have no idea how to go about. There's so much material out there that

we need a librarian or a volunteer scholar or a devoted student to sort

through them and perhaps this way the owners of Maharaj related

materials can donate them.

There is a small group of people living in the back woods of West Virginia.

They worship the radio that brings them the " Word of God " every Sunday morning.

  • 2 years later...

I have recently visited Maharaj's house in Mumbai.

It wasn't easy but the good news are that I meticulously documented

the navigation to the place (correct address, detailed directions,

photos to identify landmarks on the way, map, etc.) for the benefit of

others who might want to visit the place (most recommended!!!).

Following the directions will make the task easy for you. I promise.

I added my directions at

http://www.gurusfeet.com/guru/nisargadatta-maharaj, under the

LOCATIONS tab.

Note that the address of the house provided in some other websites is

sometimes incorrect (I had such an incorrect address written down when

I searched for the house). The address listed in the above profile was

tested and is accurate.

Enjoy!
