So closely, that even others are mesmerized. They think, it is me that they are seeing! .... I have seen your rise and fall, your ascent and descent, I have felt your emotions, you laughter, your pleasure and your pain. I have felt your every breath! .... You have shown me the world, I have used your eyes, you carried the energy, whose pangs I have felt! Sometimes sour, sometimes sweet, sometimes slow and ...sometimes Intense! In you, I have laughed, in you... I have Wept! .... Yet, NOW, I Know, you were NEVER Me! I thank you for your great sacrifice, for being vehicle, a hollow bamboo, ....through which I have carried thru! Your sacrifice, ....is beyond every Price! .... You have existed ONLY for Me, and, now that I know, I bow Again and Again! Can you stay little Longer, ....can you give me adobe? .... Each night on my bed, ....I am NEVER sure! Will I find you there, when the morning bacons. Will you still obey my commands, ...will you still give me my Name? I have SEEN that you are not really Me, and, I don't have a REAL Connection! Yet, me the adobe-less, the form and figure less... me beyond boundaries... beyond center and circumference! It is ONLY you that enables me to play... and, every night before going to BED, ....I ask, can you please give me one more Day! .... And, there have been times... many times! some times long... sometimes SHORT, ....that you have completely disappeared! And, each time when I came to senses... and SAW it, I have shivered... and Feared! .... Without you, I TRULY feel Dead! Not a form ...not even Space! Yes, I too know NOW, I am formless, deathless, birth-less ...this LESS, that Less! But, guess what... I am interested in More... not in less, and carrying you... is NOT My Burden! In fact, it is NOT 'Me' who carries you, but, " you " the uncomplaining vehicle, carrying me! ....me the UNKNOWN Emptiness! .... Each morning that I wake up, I find you TOTALLY Not There! And, I fret, I wonder, ....have you disappeared! I KNOW myself, ....I AM Still HERE! .... But, who am I... without 'you' in Place! No shape, no form, no name... No Face! Neither Alive... nor Dead! The songs of Rumi and Ghalib, the sound of Jagjit and Chirta! How could I ever thank you! .... The woman's body, the child's breath, the cool blowing breeze, ....the sweet Rose Essence! .... The roaming bees, the moving butterflies, the songs of birds, the morning shahnai (flute)! The wind passing through Pine leaves, ....the children playing on Snow, the Blue sparkling water of the sea, the crashing waves. I have shown me ecstasy, ....you have shown me Pain! .... Yes, I know, I too have heard, Buddha became enlightened when he became free of you, ....yet, that is NOT what... I want! Cause, ME is not in Bondage, ....me is NOT in Pain. I am not 'suffering' you, ....but, it is ME that you have to endure and SUFFER! I AM Same throughout, ....unchanged, untouched... unattached. It is You, ....that goes thru Change! I know, I have been told, ....one day, you will SURELY Pass! ....a Decaying form that can NOT really Last! .... A day will come, ....when I will neither see... nor feel. I will neither die, ....nor will Exist! .... My wife, my children, my few friends (who will remain no longer 'mine') ....will WEEP! In 'living'... they see 'you' as ME! in your passing... they will think it ME... that is Dead! They will cremate 'you', ....but, will weep on 'MY' Death! Me... the UNSEEN Emptiness!
