Guest guest
adding insult to humor: Perhaps a modern classic for seekers to read for their self- realization is the three volume book called " Nothing Ever Happened. " The words " Nothing Ever Happened " come from a Sri H.W.L. Poonja, better known as Papaji. The words should speak for themselves. And yet the joke is that one volume was not enough for this book. And so three were written. These three volumes were needed to explain what this " Nothing Ever Happened " really means. This is not the real joke. The real joke of this classic is that of all of the hundreds of thousands of seekers who have read these three volumes only a rare few know what these words " Nothing Ever Happened " mean. (According to Papaji – the rare few is about one in 200+ million.) For the rest of the seekers these three volumes are not enough. And so the millions of seekers keep reading more and more books and volumes, and seeking scriptures, gurus and gods, so that they can understand the meaning of this word " Nothing. " =-= The seeking of the knowledge a seeker needs to understand the meaning of this word Nothing is what the scriptures, gurus and saints, and experts of Advaita call the jnana yoga of self-realization. And meditation is raja yoga which is just the futile attempt to be this Nothing ( when everything is this Nothing) … and devotion is bhakti yoga which is the worshiping of this Nothing. And these three paths to self-realization leave only the karma yoga which is just doing all sorts of Nothings that Ever Happened.
