Pardon me,

There is but one arrogance that destroys

Here.....

It is the thought " I " .

This " I " could have been any-one.

This I 'you' desparately hold on to (if you do, that is) could have been the

child

who is dying of AIDS in Africa, the beggar who lives on any street in any land,

near or far, the IRS agent who called you in, the child who beat up your child,

the lover who ravished your wife. The husband who abuses 'you'. The guru who

harmed you by being human. The aborigine who is dreaming in the outback.

The Iraqui householder who lost 2 family members in the last bombing

and the American soldier who flew the plane.

The stories of Who the " I " Is are endless.

And look: there, right there, where you sit, what arrogance do 'you' carry

because it is 'you' who sit?

" I " could have been anyone; " I " could have been " you " .

Be gentle with me.

love and peace,

Anna
