Not destiny in the form of some mechanical predermined way, but destiny in the form of ultimately being guided by God. If we can begin to see that our destiny is to come ever more close to God in the form of Infinite Love, then we can relax tremendously I believe, and find a peace that is beyond all understanding. al. It could be that I have only a speculative idea. But it makes sense to me. I don't see why limitless being would stop at experiencing itself as merely a separate human being. I have no idea what it would feel like to have an " I " as both a separate person and as the whole planet at the same time, but I am sure it would be something utterly advanced and far out. al. > > > Nisargadatta , " anders_lindman " > <anders_lindman> wrote: > > > > So you mean I am not Gaia yet? " That is true on our level of development. But I think the next step in evolution is that earth will take the leap into a planetary organism. This will mean that instead of experiencing ourselves as merely separate human beings, we will evolve a new sense of self, a planetary " I " . And THEN we can know and feel a tree directly, because the tree will be a part of the " me " , the planetary organism. Just like we today can, for example, feel our own hands directly, from the inside so to speak, we will with planetary consciousness be able to feel a tree from within. Very advanced stuff. Maybe the possibility of a planetary organism is merely a speculative idea, yet evolution is not something that stays the same. Evolution sometimes takes a leap when the time is ripe. al.
