Guest guest
There is a silence of the mind, an absence of noise. This silence is not hard to get, the mind can loll itself into silence with a mantra, or concentration on an object such as breath. This silence is easily shattered by noise, thought, or outward distractions. That silence is dead. A live silence, one that can not be broken, but swallows the whole world, is not brought about, but descends unsought on a still mind. It's space, emptiness, being itself, it is what was before birth, it is what will be after death. Since it never was, it will always be.
