Each Sunday there is Satsang with the Awakened Teacher Banananda in

the Amsterdam Zoo.

Banananda is an Awakened Teacher in the Lineage of Sri Banana and Papaya Ji.

He is also influenced by teachers such as Baba Boon, Sailor Frog,

Tony Prattletons, Bhagwan Jee My Knees, Adi Gaga, the Boohbah (Boohbah) and

Jojo Krack-me-a-nutti.

His final teacher however was a simple banana.

It so happened that Banananda realized his True Nature 7.16 PM, August

17, 1999 while eating a delicious banana.

Ever since his Awakening he has helped hundreds and hundreds of the Zoo's

visitors and residents to realise their True Nature.

From all over the globe penguins, bears, owls, goldfish, raccoons, humans in all

smells, shapes, lengths and colours, mosquitos, yes even fruit flies, dung

flies, earthworms, flea, ticks, bacteria and other humble creatures are

attracted like iron dust to a magnet by this

Greatly Awakened Chimpanzee.

His teachings are very powerful and profound, so profound even that often no

words but rather spontaneous and loud shouts, the inspired and

controlled throwing with objects such as sticks, banana peels (and other

carefully selected fruit remnants) are accompanied by unconditioned gestures

and the wild running around and swirling through the trees in his richly

decorated cage, all the time being deeply immersed in a profound state of

absorption in the Absolute.

His Teachings are summarized thus:

'There is nothing to do, there is no-one here, you are already bananas.'

and even more astutely:

'Ieeee! Ieeee! Ieeee!'

--Banananda

Don't miss your chance to meet this extraordinary Awakened Teacher.

And also don't forget to bring your credit card and some ripe bananas.

Namaste!

List of Recommendations:

Willie the Whale (now known as Free Willie):

'I had been searching for the water in the ocean for a long time. Banananda

showed me I am in the water already.'

Jim the Giraffe:

'I had been looking for the ceiling of the sky. Banananda showed me there is no

ceiling.'

Tobias the Turtle:

'I was trying to find ways to proceed along the Way faster. Banananda showed me

the Way is the Goal already. Finally the search dropped.'

Danny the Deer:

'I fell on my bottom right after my encounter with the directness of a banana

peel wisely left behind by Banananda and swiftly realised my True Nature thanks

to Banananda's blissful glance.'

Karma the Chameleon:

'After a long and painful period of intense pyscho-therapy I realised it wasn't

going to help me get out of my identity crisis. Banananda helped me to see I am

not the colors of my body. I realised my unchanging True Nature after attending

a five day intensive in the Amsterdam Zoo.'

Pete the Parrot:

'For long I had been repeating and quoting the sayings of sages in many ways

without really understanding what they are all about. Banananda helped me to

understand the real meaning of those sayings. Now I don't have to repeat what

others say all the time. I just repeat Banananda only.'

Sarah the Zebra:

'I couldn't understand how something could be true and untrue at the same time.

It was either white or black. Banananda learned me to not mistake the banana

pointing at the moon for the moon itself. I now just abide as That and  not

as This.'

Leo the Lion:

'I tried very hard to become a vegetarian, no matter how hard I tried I

couldn't. Banananda learned me to accept things as they are. I now worry more

about what comes out of the mouth instead of what goes into the mouth.'

Sid the Snake:

'I couldn't get my fingers behind the truth. Banananda learned me to see there

is nothing to get my fingers behind. There are no fingers either as a matter of

fact.'

Lord Frederic the Fruit Fly:

'Banananda simply gave me a koan to contemplate: 'Time flies like the wind and

fruit flies like bananas.' It's what I practice single minded now.'

Betsy the Beetle:

'Banananda helped me to get over my inferiority complex and the defensive shield

I carry around. Without dung there would be no banana trees Banananda wisely

pointed out. So he told me to just keep on rolling that dung without expecting

any results. Hey, I am useful! Oh yes, I am not as tough as I look, I too

am vulnerable inside, I too have feelings and they deserve consideration just

like anyone else's feelings! I had a shaktic awakening last Friday and you

know what? I allowed it! All is well, all is well! Isn't that marvelous? All is

One! All is in this Moment!

He also said I talk too much, I am still working on that one.'

Frank the Flea:

'I can't begin to express how grateful I am to live so close with my teacher

Banananda. I am even more grateful I could bring along with me my whole extended

family which flourishes richly under Banananda's benign influence. We are a

privileged family. What more can I say?'

Diana the Dove:

'I had to learn to trust my insticts to find my way Home again.

Banananda stimulated this by chasing me out of his cage with a stick and calling

me names. It may sound harsh but it is what I needed. I found my way Home. I now

deliver his post and live near the Zoo. I am at peace.
