Flowing With The Flow

Floating down a mighty river, which roils through

a magical landscape, we are fascinated by the

flotsam floating down and nearby. Trying to capture,

retain, make patterns out of such flotsam, we miss

the ride. Of all the debris passing by, ideas are

the shiniest, and we swallow them whole, and

getting hooked, we call them our own, and get

mad when people try to set us free.

 

Missing the ride is all about relationships,

relationships with ideas, objects, people.

Forget whether your ideas are true or not, it's

how you relate to them that causes pain.

Suffering is the obsession to own and bestow

permanency on such passing relationships.

And so we ignore the magnificent landscape,

and miss the ride. Let go of the flotsam, enjoy

the ride, fall in love with the flowing, that is

true love.
