The greensleeves have long fallen

Remain as mulch, rotting food for summer berries,

And the beauty of Angel nightshades,

Bear clans rest in hidden caves,

Leaning, dreaming of honeycombs

As faeries dance in hallows,

In light of pale blue moons,

Ice lingers on these branches,

See my true form,

Gnarled, twisted and broken-limbed,

Silver-etched

Earth-rooted and Heaven-sent

Firm

As skies pass in windsongs.
