Guest guest
.... I was impressed with Tolle because I found him brave, courageous and bold! He made statements that sounded bizarre, strange, foolish as well as laughable and Nonsense! Yet, they were true! He talked about things like 'Pain Body'! And, I became aware of it only after 'something had happened' and I could feel each emotion, each feeling, anger in kind of absolutely clear and amplified way. These were kind of hot blisters that appeared in my otherwise now seemingly clean, empty, peaceful and blissful existence. Their feeling was so immediate and intense that it was kind of instant reward/punishment for every thought/emotion that I had. Many times their effect became apparent to me even before I was aware of having any thought about them. And, finding and navigating through a way that didn't need these painful feelings became a necessity for me. I also noticed that slowly and slowly I was also learning to adapt... that is some situations that early one used to cause these painful sensations were not doing so anymore. .... Then, Tolle also gave some examples of how sometimes people with heavy pain body in fact, get automatically even more 'triggered' around those whose pain body has diminished or subsided. He explained it was the pain body's amplified attempt to get the " food " it needed. It was a laughable as well as well 'pretentious sounding' and 'self serving' concept... yet, I had become truthfully aware of it. .... Third thing he talked about it was that ego usually subsides in the moment of illness in order to make all the energy and consciousness available for recovery. I was aware that maybe, to little less extent but the 'no thought', 'empty body', 'empty head', 'bodiless-ness', simplicity, clarity that I had experienced last time was perhaps, not the first time. I think to a lesser extent I had experienced it twice more. Both times, when I was just recovering from a very high fever [one time about 106.5 degree F and other times, little over 105]... Guest guest
thank you for sharing this " story " . " Third thing he talked about it was that ego usually subsides in the moment of illness in order to make all the energy and consciousness available for recovery " . that simply shows that " ego " is not what you are! it is just an activity that takes place under certain circumstances. not an entity, but an activity. as my dear werner said: only acting going on, seeing, smellig, hearing, thinking, egoing... waabing Nisargadatta , " adithya_comming " <adithya_comming> wrote: > > ... > > I was impressed with Tolle because I > found him brave, courageous and bold! > > He made statements that sounded > bizarre, strange, foolish as well as > laughable and Nonsense!
