Guest guest
The Fake Spiritual Seeker The fake spiritual seeker pretend to be looking for truth, the way, enlightenment. But he is only playing a game. He is only pretending to look, actually, he is intensely competitive and is involved in a complex game of one-ups-man-ship. He is trying to win his game by frustrating and fooling the person he is talking too. Actually, he is trying to get attention and thrives on the energy that comes from others as he wiggles and waggles and asks and answers questions. No answer will ever satisfy him, because he is not looking for answers he is competing for attention. The persona he presents is not real, his search for what he is looking for is unreal. He is pretending, and inside, deep inside is the one who says, Look at me, how clever I am and they can’t see me or catch me as I dance and sway and keep sucking up attention. They are energy parasites who prey on the helpers, the persons who are fooled into thinking the parasite wants and needs assistance and who dives in to help them, but are captured by this clever and concealed energy parasite. Inside, this person is a hater, a despiser of others and of himself. The irony of his position is that if he wins, and is undiscovered as a fraud, he loses. He loses a real relationship that can come from being helped by someone and could feel gratitude and the owner of some new information or direction. Instead, he continues to feel alone, cut off from any real relationship as he continues to pretend he needs something or someone, yet inside, despises his helper as a victim who is fooled by his disguise, and himself for being a false person. Eventually his helper runs out of steam and gives up, and this fake spiritual seeker goes on to find other victims to futilely try to help him while he just sucks and absorbs their attention and energy. This will go on as long as he can find victims or eats himself up, absorbs his own identity in his self-absorption, isolation and loneliness commits suicide in despair, or gets lost in alcoholism or drug use as he tried to blot out his rather sick, despairing state of mind. These online groups are great prowling places for these characters, and it is best to recognize them quickly, and stay away from them. Otherwise, you will be another victim in the parade of helpers he uses and despises. Larry Epston www.epston.com
