This is a story about the Lesson of the Candle.

Pehaps you will read it before you meditate.

The lesson of the candle.

The wax of the candle is like our own body.

The wick of the candle is like our nervous system, and brain.

The visible flame of the candle is like the realm of mind.

The heat energy of the candle is like our thoughts.

Working together, the candle gives light and heat.

When you meditate, your sense of self moves

from the heat, to the light, to the wick, to the wax,

and finally, to the empty space in which the candle exists.

The successful journey concludes with the meditator coming back into

the ordinary state of mind and thinking, but is still aware of his/her inward

journey moving from the heat of thinking, into the emptyness that surrounds

the candle, and is producing the candle; his/her own life.

L.E: This is only discovered at the halfway point, which is like the large

end of a telescope. But one doesn't stay there, although you may if you

choose. The second part is to integrate back into individuality, the small end

of

the telescope and continue to live as a person who has a simultaneous

awareness of what you are talking about, the large view of things, no one, no

where,

one life. It’s not a mystery to me, and I will enjoy it with you, my own

living self.

all along the process you are nothing, the lesson is for noone, noone

has ever listened to it. now the teacher has got a problem, being the

pupil absent!

there is only one, one candle...one life. noone is living,

separately, as a person, only love pulsating, dancing like the flame,

for no reason at all. are you going to enjoy with me this mystery?

the all effort is to try to integrate life force, which is love

itself, into an individuality, into a person. this is the all effort

of education, social and religious. We can go on trying, just for the

joy to fail!
