It doesn't seem that way, not consciously, at least. Would you take insult from anyone? A passerby, a ten year old, a pet parrot? If the insulting quality doesn't depend on the speaker, does it depend on the word itself? If you saw above a public urinal the words, " You're a MF idiot, " would you take offense? So, if it's not in the word itself, is it your conditioning that gives the word its insulting value? Is this conditioning operative because of insecurity and fear, or because of ego arrogance? All these are good questions to ponder in order to find out by what mechanism you give people verbal power over you. I have no illusions you 'll do that, but others here, who are in the same condition might. So from now on, don't take my words in response to your postings personally, they are directed not only at you, but at a broader audience, you are just a pretext.
