Guest guest
I can feel frustration when not in control of certain situations that I hold dear in my heart. Thinking that I am right, wanting fairness, justice, It gives me a panicky feeling to be confronted to a wall, to something that has self-preserving interest instead of the common good. I would like to be King kong, and destroy what hurts, be really sassy and quick-witted so I could defeat injustice throught my words but.I am not a gorilla nor a quick witted fast deliverie word maniac. I also know intimately that I can`t be part of the politics of this world, they are a painful game, and I AM NOT FROM HERE. I know that. Yet, if the light can have expression, it will meet many obstacles and have to face them and solve them, and many time be (apparently) defeated??? and lust..maybe lust does fade away when one carries a new longing, a new desire; that takes the earnestness Mr Niz wishes us so much. ---Patricia _________________________ Nouveau : téléphonez moins cher avec Messenger ! Niz said, " Earnestness is not a yearning for the fruits of one's endeavours. It is an expression of an inner shift of interest away from the false, the unessential, the personal. " " Weak desires can be removed by introspection and meditation, but strong, deep-rooted ones must be fulfilled and their fruits, sweet or bitter, tasted. " " As long as you are interested in your present way of living, you will not abandon it. Discovery cannot come as long as you cling to the familiar. It is only when you realize fully the immense sorrow of your life and revolt against it that a way out can be found. " " Try to be, only to be. The all-important word is " try " . Allow enough time daily for sitting quietly and trying, just trying, to go beyond the personality with its addictions and obsessions. Don't ask how, it cannot be explained. You just keep on trying until you succeed. If you persevere, there can be no failure. What matters supremely is sincerity, earnestness; you must really have had surfeit of being the person you are; now see the urgent need of being free of this unnecessary self-identification with a bundle of memories and habits. This steady resistance against the unnecessary is the secret of success. " " Refuse attention [to things], let things come and go. Desires and thoughts are also things. Disregard them. Since immemorial time, the dust of events was covering the clear mirror of your mind, so that only memories you could see. Brush off the dust before it has time to settle; this will lay bare the old layers until the true nature of your mind is discovered. It is all very simple and comparatively easy; be earnest and patient, that is all. Dispassion, detachment, freedom from desire and fear, from all self-concern, mere awareness, free from memory and expectation, this is the state of mind to which discovery can happen. After all, liberation is but the freedom to discover. " " We discover it by being earnest, by searching, inquiring, questioning daily and hourly, by giving one's life to this discovery. " " See your world as it is, not as you imagine it to be. Discrimination will lead to detachment; detachment will ensure right action, right action will build the inner bridge to your real being. Action is proof of earnestness. Do what you are told diligently and faithfully and all obstacles will disolve. " " Whatever name you give it: will, or steady purpose, or one pointedness of mind, you come back to earnestness, sincerity, honesty. When you are in dead earnest, you bend every incident, every second of your life to your purpose. You do not waste time and energy on other things. You are totally dedicated, call it will, or love, or plain honesty. We are complex beings, at war within and without. We contradict ourselves all the time, undoing today the work of yesterday. No wonder we are stuck. A little of integrity would make a lot of difference. " " Nothing can block you so effectively as compromise, for it shows lack of earnestness, without which nothing can be done. " " It is easy, if you are earnest.
