P: As a moderator of two other lists ( this one, is not one

of then, obviously, or you wouldn't be here) I could say

that it's not an issue of quality ( you do write some good

poems) it's an issue of quantity. It is an issue of a member

kidnapping a list for her own agenda, an agenda which is

clearly not the mission of the list, and by the quantity of her

postings making the list a vehicle of her self- promotion.

If this list, or GR were lists dedicated to poetry there wouldn't

be any problem. But these lists are dedicated to the discussion

of very specific goals. In the case of this group, the teachings

of Niz. Poetry, mainly appeals to emotions, even when some

of your poems refer to advaita, they do so from an emotional

standpoint. To appeal to emotions was never Niz's approach,

so your poems are always off topic. One a day wouldn't be

bad, but your approach to poetry is carpet bombing.

Then, there is the fact, that poetry is by nature a monologue,

and these lists aim is to foster dialogue. And you need dialogue

badly. You have many unresolved personal problems that

you try to sweep under the carpet of poetry and 'I am the

One'. One of this obvious problems is winter. If 'you' were

the One, what could there be wrong with winter? Why can

a poet, much less the One, feel joy in a gloomy winter day?

The blue shadow of a tree

On the ice encrusted fence-

So bitter, the morning chill!

Issa

The desolation of winter;

Passing through a hamlet,

A dog barks.

Pete, if you, after all this time do not understand me or my postings and the

nature of my poems, I have failed...miserably.

The point of all spirituality is to get out of the dualist " THINKING " and

return to the point of living, which is to be ALIVE in/as/of THIS magnificent,

horrible, excruciating, blissfull, compassionate, dispassionate, heaven-hell

called living to the equanimity of BEING.

Most of us are so " heady " we have our heads up our a**** and have NO idea of

Who we really are...All spiritual dharma battle, IMHO, is to break

down the headtrips we're on to get to a real communion heart to heart, which

first passes mind-to-mind in the nature of conversation.

All conversation starts internally hence my poems. Hence the ability of one

poem such as yours above:

The blue shadow of a tree

on the ice encrusted fence--

So bitter, the morning chill!

Understanding

Is a Perfect Snowflake

....Melting....

Cutting thru all kinds of mental clutter and resting on a few words, a few

notes of a song. Sometimes a book in a poem. Sometimes a Koan

in a poem..;-)

The desolation of winter;

Passing through a hamlet,

A dog barks.

Pit bull won't let go

Strong his grip,

My shredded heart

Ana

P.S. do you actually read some of the postings on guru...pure

theater...actually it's all theater...so what the hell, what IS the problem?
