Guest guest
How do I explain to my friends what I believe? I have friends that are Catholic, Hindu, Wiccan, Atheist, Protestant, you name it. If they ask me what I believe, I tell them I have no beliefs whatsoever. " So, you're atheist then? " they ask. " No, I'm not anything. " " Oh, so you're agnostic? " " No, not even agnostic. You can't put a label on me. " " Well, do you believe in God? " they persist. " I told you, I don't have any beliefs at all. " How can I not have any beliefs? It doesn't make sense to them. How can I explain this so it does? I don't know! First of all, I have to ask myself if it's true that I have no beliefs. It seems rather odd. Let me see. What do I believe about God? The God concept seems to have so many different shades to it. The God of the Catholics is very different from the Gods of the Wiccans. So which God do I believe in? I don't. That's the truth. I don't believe in any of the Gods of any religion or spiritual path. I'm not atheist either. A-theism means godless. I'm not godless. I AM GOD!! Lol. But how do you explain that to your Catholic and Protestant friends? Witches and Hindus wouldn't have too much of a problem with it, I don't think but probably certain branches of christendom would. What do I believe about the purpose of life? I don't believe life has a purpose. God! That sounds so morbid. No purpose? No reason for life to exist? Does it have to have a reason or a purpose? Can't it just be? I don't imagine a tree would have much to say if you asked one what its purpose or reason was. " What do you mean, reason? " a tree would ask. Poor tree. Could you imagine the problems you could create for a tree if you got it thinking about the reason for its being?! It's kind of funny to contemplate what a tree would go through if it had human emotions and feelings and stuff. Actually, wouldn't it be tragic? I wonder if the tree would get depressed? Could you imagine how a dog would react if it asked itself, " Who am I? " I truly imagine a dog would know itself as only Love. Love, love, love. I LOVE dogs! Trees too but they're just way too philosophical and cerebral. Anyway, yeah. Just shootin' the shit.... " Silver "

LOL. diarrhea and constipation included. None-the-less, we're all still shootin the shit. And you're NOT too philosophical and cerebral? LOL. hmmm, (insert rolling eyes and smiling softly) You may, or may not, wish to check wickepedia and other explanations for atheism and agnosticism and theism for more detailed explanations. a-gnostic means: " without " knowing a-theist means: without a belief (in a god) which commonly comes from an inablity to " know " based on something of a scientific and non-spiritual level. It doesn't necessarily mean **no** god as in Godless, because that would refer to a reference with which to evaluate that there **is** a God and atheism can't support that there even i*s a God...hence...without belief in god....which is different than - without God. There is no God to be *without*. (I enjoy these little asterics with which to highlight the words I'm referencing just for effect). Theism means: with god. meaning a belief in god. Since you are claiming that you are THEE god then you are by your own definition a Theist. If you believe that YOU are the God then you do in fact believe in A god. --- You--- theism. You said you *believe* you are a god and yet that you *don't* have any beliefs. But you've just labelled yourself with your own beliefs - that you are THEE God! oh deary me, no wonder you are confused Silver. Your mind doesn't know what your mouth is speaking. They are conflicting and you can't see it happening. but then again, I forget to play into your game by acknowledging in your own words that you.. " can't put a label on me. " Seems like you already have. Maybe you could explain to clarify. Am I missing something in your text? These written words are hard to dialogue and be understand. awaiting clarification, SamT7

Good enough. Atheism means without belief in God, not Godless. > Since you are claiming that you are THEE god.... ****Hmmm. Did I claim to be THEE god? Oops. I must have said that because of the mood I was in last night. I don't really believe I'm God. > oh deary me, no wonder you are confused Silver. ****Well I'm glad we've cleared that up! > awaiting clarification, > SamT7 > ****Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long.
