A VOICE OF THE AGES

 

 

 

She is the wife of Martin Luther King,

Coretta Scott King

an equal on the path less traveled,

eulogized yesterday by presidents and

those who would be King, friends,

poets, distinguished ladies and gentlemen

 

..... as their children sat and listened,

part of a story, told in first person by a

generation changed in the aftermath of

non-violent demonstration proving that

human beings are one and the same behind

the weakest link, this flesh of colour,

for in the soul of Humanity there lives the

Spirit, where connectors are called family

Beloved friends and the love of God,

whom we fashion

into the form we have hidden in,

Oh!

We shall never overcome the loss of separation

from the Love of God until we are All One in the

Spirit made

Flesh by all the words of God, spoken by man and

woman united in a common purpose to love one

another even as God has loved us into being...

 

My brothers and sisters.

 

And now we say goodnight, gentle warrior soul,

I knew you not

Personally,

though I have been uplifted in your consistent

words in the dedication of your Soul to love honour

and sacrifice to the Word of God, having come from

heaven, returned to this Good Earth,

 

where not all words have fallen on barren soil.
