Guest guest
>>Arvind, >>first of all I want to thank you for your continuous posting here... your positive, authentic and inspiring effort to share what you have to say. Thanks a lot, Stefan! That is very generous of you to say so and it means a lot to me! >>I live in Crete, some call it the " island of light " , because the light in all its facets is incredible here. That is really Great! I can imagine that it might be quite a 'happy' place! I lived in Barbados for about six months. I have many 'sunny' memories of the place! >>I find it interesting though, how the tradition of the people here does not ignore the dark aspects of life. I can understand that! People in Barbados too *looked forward* to *night*. It had a RICH Life of its Own! All those stars, that shiny moon, that Sea Breeze... those rocking palm trees, that sand shining under moonlight... that music from distance... Who can Complain? .... I see living in a *confined* dark 'corner' as the main problem not the 'darkness' itself! Night has its own life... and, a night under the stars/moon in open - on beach, on mountains, in woods or even your Patio- can easily rival a sunny day in the Park! .... Somehow, we have greatly lost the balance and, now, we spend greatly increasing hours stuck in dark constricted corners of our offices or home! There is weather that is almost UNIVERSALLY called *gloomy*! We have seem to have created that *gloomy* atmosphere everywhere around us by totally blocking natural sunlight, natural wind and being stuck in confined small places! >>The incredibly rich and highly developed traditional poetry often laments about inner darkness: >>The wind has extinguished the candle Which I was holding in my hand From now on my life is in darkness At day and night >>It appears as if the outer presence of light allows to freely express inner darkness, as it happens again and again to many of us. >>All the best to you >>Stefan Best to you too, Stefan! Have a Great Weekend! Arvind.

Ah, never mind the money. I'll give you my thoughts for free. I love the night. It has alot to offer. Less noise, less traffic, less people, less heat, less light. A starry moonlit night is a wonder to behold! Nothing beats running through a forest on a narrow muddy path under a Full Moon! Or standing on a Moonlit beach watching waves of water wash ashore. It's hypnotic! Or sitting down in the tall weeds in the middle of an open field under a Moonlit sky, branches of trees swaying in the gentle breeze overhead. Listening to the night creatures sing their songs to each other. I prefer the night to the day. In fact I sleep during the day and only come out at night. I work best in the darkness of night. And, capitalizing on night life, I proceed to make money from it. The night life generates my income; an additional reason for liking the night. Or how about dancing around a huge bondfire to wild and trance inducing drum beats until the wee hours of the morning for two nights straight. What an awesome experience that is! Like I said, I love the night, thus my choice to be active mostly during the time that most people are sleeping. " Silver "
