Guest guest
Whatever You Choose In all of the manifest universe There is nothing we humans can change Except among ourselves, There are a few things possible. Every form has the whole of The created within it, A sun has the whole of its Transformation from pure energy Into hydrogen and helium, And then into the more comples elements. Every human has the whole of its ancestory Pressing up behind them Pushing them into shape, into a particular form. The whole history of human transformation Is here, in every human. From the simeple cell Into the complex form Of cell, muscles and tissue, Nerves, bone and blood that We see as each individual. That why its is so hard to change Anything about anybody. They have as much reality within, And as them, As you do. That is why sometimes It is so difficult to change anything, And sometimes, it is so easy. It is even hard to change yourself, Even in the littlest of things, Like smoking, Or chewing your fingernails, Or the foods you like, And dislike. And try losing weight, Or gaining weight. And here you write about Lifting the conscousness of humanity. It is already lifted, and you Did not lift it. You and I have some limited choice About thinking and doing, And that's our freedom and joy So let's use it freely and enjoy what we can. Let your thoughts stop for a while if you can. Let your voice be silent for a white If you will allow it. Let the reality of existence Show through you and I As ourself, And smile a while, Or cry a million tears Everyone has the same opportunity, And if they believe Santa Claus is real, Or that Jesus will return, Or that a hell exists, Or that a cartoon invites them To kill, burn and destroy, What of it? Are you going to stand in front of A dictator's tank, or fight racism, Or work with those dying of AIDS? You can if you want to, Or you can endlessly argue about The irrelevant and unnessary. It's up to you. Every choice you make, The whole universe chooses with you. Larry Epston www.epston.com
