Guest guest
And, Bill, if there is no such " Deep Peace " ? If you are just lost, without hope, noOne arround babbling of deep peace, of Love, liberation, of the Absolute, of a changeless background etc ? What will you do ? Will you visit a Maharaj list where all those members are that ugly super-human, enlightened, radiating, omnipotent insightful avatars ? It is only by many points of Deep Peace that the horrors and suffering in the world will ever be healed. And " everything Is....fine " is an expression of peace. Bill Yup. We like to believe that we are accepting, but of course accepting the existence of suffering is another matter. At first, what we do is hold onto our judgment of suffering and pretend that we accept it and say it just is what it is, but this is not acceptance. There are many who have suffered great tragedy and this suffering transformed them. They can look back on the suffering as a gift and are finally able to release their judgment about suffering, whether it's their own or that of others. When one can see their own suffering without being attached to it, this is true acceptance and the source of the deep peace of which you speak. There is a core within that remains untouched even by our own suffering. Phil

The hope of healing the suffering in the world is an egoic delusion and one of the facets of the grandiose vanity that is itself the mother of all 'suffering'. The desire to reduce what the identified entity sees as suffering is merely the camouflaged hope to assuage an internalized uncomfortableness. Nisargadatta cautions us to offer help when it seems appropriate but encourages us not to be 'do-gooders'. When asked what one should do about poor people.......Ramana said: " God made them, Let God take care of them. " Healing the " suffering in the world " is about as realistic as healing all of the people in your dreams at night. toombaru

It's not my issue in the first place. You are talking to yourself, toombaru. You certainly aren't talking to me. This last response of yours is yet another example of paying *no attention* to what the other person has written. Did I say anything about " hope of healing " etc.? No I didn't. I said that *if* there is to be any healing then it will *only* be because of ones that don't worry about all the suffering and find the true source of Deep Peace. Perhaps if you had read my words with some care you would have gotten that. Try turning off CNN for a while. Maybe you will feel better! (conservative is a polite word to circumscribe an idiot).
