>>If Realization is Peace then, what is

the difference between Realization and

Meditation? After all, meditation too

leads to peace!

Meditators meditate for hours each

day to... calm their mind, to get rid

of their negative emotions.

They do it everyday... year after

year! They meditate and are thus able

to steady their mind... some day they

forget and the mind wanders Again!

It becomes kind of a game! Sometimes

the [wandering] mind wins, sometimes

the focus and steadiness wins!

The liberation [from mind] remains

elusive all the while!

...

Then, with a sudden Flash... the mind

is seen to be 'non existent'!

There is no mind to be 'calmed', to

make 'steady'...

Or, to be 'liberated' from!

Mind itself is a creation and the very

effort to 'make' it 'steady' gives rise

to the Mind!

The Very effort to get 'beyond' mind,

to become 'free' of mind... creates a

'mind'!

Effort is... the Mind!

...

Once that happens... 'peace' is no

longer something to be 'gained'!

Peace IS... any 'effort' simply

creates a 'ripple' in it!

Yet, the effort too is contained in

this Very Peace!

And, here, it is important no to

confuse 'effort' with 'action'! Effort

simply means non-acceptance of 'what

is'! Effort means the attempt, the

desire to go again What Is... against

the Flow!

As long as action happens through

Flow... it is simply the nature working

while Self remains Action-less,

untouched, unattached!

But, the very no-acceptance of What

Is... the Flow... creates a boundary, a

separation... a 'separate' 'entity'...

the entity called 'mind', the entity

called 'self'!

And, even the 'effort' to get rid of

that entity... ultimately works only to

'strengthen' it!

It creates a SOLID 'seeker' looking

for 'liberation'!

...and, its Very *effort* obscures the

liberation that already exists!

>>But, I still haven't understood how

realization/enlightenment makes any

difference in this regard?

With the 'transition' that happens...

the natural peace is again

automatically restored and requires no

separate effort to gain and sustain it.

A journey takes place where the focus

shifts from the alternating surface

waves and bubbles to the depth of the

calm, still Ocean!

The Self is seen as That... STILL,

Aware, unbound Blissful IN which all

temporary phenomenon rise and fall!

The Self needs to make no *effort* to

remain itself!

Mind is seen as the entity that rise

and fall. Yet, this rise and fall

doesn't affect Self!

Both the bondage as well as the

*search* for 'liberation' only exist in

the mind which itself is a creation. A

creation that itself rises and falls!

>>But, just realizing THAT wouldn't

make someone peaceful - would it?

No. Not necessarily...

but, the ultimate futility of the very

attempt to 'become peaceful' is seen!

Mind like anything in nature is

subject to natural laws and its input

and like anything in the nature mind

too goes through phases and transitions!

Like everything else in nature, mind

too doesn't exist in isolation but is

result of all that is!

It is a tool that is used to play the

*game* of life... the game of forms,

the game of world... it is what enables

the leela!

And, all desires belong to the mind

alone including the desires... to 'be

free of mind', 'learn liberation from

mind', 'be free of death and birth',

'to end suffering'... to become

'enlightened'!

....

Abiding as Self... there is Total

Peace...

there are no problems...

no birth and death...

neither bondage nor any [need for]

liberation!

Mind itself is *bound* by its nature

and is subject to its laws! However, it

is something to be *understood* and

appropriately used and not something to

*fight* with!
