Or some study you've googled on the net perhaps? My own experience with animals indicates otherwise. As a matter of fact, I've met more understanding and *knowing* 4 footed animals than 2 footed ones. My greatest ))guru(( was my old cat and a dog. P: What's your beef, Sam? Read above. I wrote animals don't have concepts. I didn't write they were unable to understand, know or remember. Taking a few minutes to 'understand' a post saves a lot of typing... and sometimes ... face. In my little understanding of life as I know it, experience it, whatever, animals do indeed have concepts. The concept precedes the understanding. They have concepts from which they respond from or to or with. Not unlike yourself. Perhaps a little more instinctive than yourself, but basically the same. You preach non-dualism right?
