S: Pete, you *know* this first hand do you?

From your own relationships with animals? Or some study you've

googled on the net perhaps?

My own experience with animals indicates otherwise.

As a matter of fact, I've met more understanding and *knowing* 4

footed animals than 2 footed ones. My greatest ))guru(( was my

old cat and a dog.

P: What's your beef, Sam? Read above. I wrote animals

don't have concepts. I didn't write they were unable

to understand, know or remember. Taking a few minutes

to 'understand' a post saves a lot of typing... and

sometimes ... face. :)

Samantha: Yes, I read you correctly. Nothing for me to save face

from. In my little understanding of life as I know it, experience

it, whatever, animals do indeed have concepts. The concept

precedes the understanding. They have concepts from which they

respond from or to or with. Not unlike yourself. Perhaps a little

more instinctive than yourself, but basically the same. You preach

non-dualism right?
