Guest guest
i think i wrote it as an " understanding " of oneSelf.....an understanding of the " whole " .....means, of the wholeness of oneSelf.... then....the mind can be at rest.....at " free will " ...... >>>> if it is about the " mind " understanding something, then the mind is still going on... just in a more lucid kind of way. The impression I get from such a notion is that the helmsman is still steering, but now with a clear sense of direction. I suggest that is not very important... such lucidity. What is really far more interesting, is when the helmsman has disappeared -- and unaccountably at that. So there is no one steering. And clarity is not an issue. And why ever would that matter anyhow? Because " what's going on " itself doesn't really matter. What is done, or not done, happens of its own. There is no one at the wheel. So it cannot be about the " mind " understanding... yes? Is that much clear? And so what kind of understanding could it be that results in the helmsman disappearing? I ask the question, but have no answer. If the fruit ripens and finally falls from the tree... has the fruit *understood*?
