Guest guest
" nothing is really happening... " ..that is all. nothing's ever happened! But those who don't have deep understanding about 'nothingness' can be so fooled by their senses. Maharaj kept saying, " Understanding is all you need!! Once there is an understanding, you can do anything!! " I still enjoy dreaming since I've got a lot more control in dreaming than the waking stage. I think that the only thing that wakes me up from dreaming or sleeping is hunger...that is consciousness! Any intellectualization occurs from within ....and arises from....the milieu of the identified entity....the illusion of self.....the occlusion, The self looks out and sees what appears to be a world.....when in fact the perceived 'world' is merely the content of consciousness. The 'self' is also merely the content of consciousness.......looking for consciousness itself. If one thinks of his dream last night......all of those people......mountains....and animals appeared to be 'outside' of the dream hero.......and in a way.....they were. ..........but the whole drama swirls within the thought stream.........it is all electro-chemical mnemonics...........nothing is really happening. 'You' can never find your self within your own dream.....and yet........everything in your dream is you. Concepts cannot capture this............Understanding can. toombaru ** If you do not wish to receive individual emails, to change your subscription, sign in with your ID and go to Edit My Groups: /mygroups?edit=1 Under the Message Delivery option, choose " No Email " for the Nisargadatta group and click on Save Changes.
