Nisargadatta tells us that our love of being (the illusion of I am) is the

crux of our problem.

I'm not really sure what the honey represents in all

the Pooh

stories. I can't remember. But whatever it is, I

like it and can't

seem to get enough of it!

" Silver "

.............................................

Pooh`s honey represents its love of beingness,

It is the simple things in life,

the indisputable goodness of a lick of honey,

Even Marc cannot denie.

I`ll bring a jar by the Abyss tonight, sparkle that

mugwort..

:)

Patricia

Hey, can ya bring a boom box and some CDs too? I'm a little concerned about

having to listen to Silver's drumming all night long. :)

L.E: Len thinks that perception exists outside of thought it seems. Toombaru

thinks everything said is thoughts and beliefs. Those who are not expressing

concepts can find something else to do. The game is; look at me, I'm not in

an ego state but you are. Ha ha, what a joke!

Only in mind.

toombaru

Yeah, it's only a problem in the mind, but that includes our entire

experience so I can't dismiss it. However, the point was that perhaps it's only

a

problem because of a lack of understanding about what is really desired. If we

really love the illusion, the idea that we want out of it is absurd.

Thought is the only problem.

That´s why it´s so important to discern it from facts.

len

Okay, so you see a factual world, and you see thinking about that factual

world as different and problematic. Fine, whatever. So, does not thinking yield

the same facts to everyone? You figure we can perceive and experience and

make 'choices' and come up with facts without thought?

You see, I don´t think about it, I just look.

Len

Thinking is not required (much) in order to 'see', but it seems to me that

what you're looking at is physicality rather than consciousness, which is the

source of physicality, and so what you believe to be a fact is actually the

product of consciousness. Thought is what brings about this product of

consciousness. How ironic. In your distaste for thought, all that you can see is

the

product of your thought, but you can't see that this is so. :)

Feel your breath.

Len

Here's something else for 'you' to 'think' about: Feeling arises from

thought. If you're feeling, the thought (which is 'you' perceiving the breath)

already snuck by without you noticing it. It can do this because, while you

haven't given up thinking, you have given up noticing the thinking.

Indeed.

It cannot be 'seen' from within the individual, space-time, conceptual existence

which is

subject to the temporal and illusory process of causation.

It can be intuited but never experienced through the mechanism if the illusory

" I " .

Mysteriously... when the attachment or identification is found not to exist...or

ever to have

existed....the understanding spreads out into the emptiness.
