Fleeing Emptiness

My realization, if it can be called so,

was to realize my life was a quest,

a constant search, not for God, or Self,

but for entertainment. Reading, writing,

talking, meditating about God or Self

were high-minded forms of entertainment.

Seeking God, or Self is the pretense of

searching for what you are fleeing from,

because your true Self is the nothingness

you are fleeing from, the nothingness you

can't abide. So this realization, is not a

rejection of entertainment, but an acceptance

of nothingness as not a thing to fear.

Now, nothingness is my easy chair, the place

of rest. Of course, as long as we're alive we

must move. Sitting all day long is no good.

Entertainment is all right, as long as it's not

an escape. And this, was written mainly to

entertain.

Can you pull my easy chair near yours? and stay very

quiet?

All spoken from within the delusional assumptions of separate self...separation

of cause and

effect...volitional action and sequential time.

Anything that emerges within a dream.......is only dream stuff.

..................................................

The funny thing is that when one truly stops fleeing

emptiness,

One feels absolutely wonderfully full.

Emptiness is very filling.
