Did you do that (stop and recognize) or are you hoping to do that n

the future?

Len

I've been in retreat for 3 and a half years. No TV, radio, phone,

newspapers. It's not unusual at all to go weeks with seeing another human being,

except

my lady who lives with me. This here computer is my only link to the world.

I have everything I need, whatever shows up.

That's it, Len. Take it or leave it.

Be careful here: the GOAL. The goal is wanting.

Is wanting ever going to get you to not wanting?

That´s waht I mean: subtly forcing oneself (wanting) to see things

in a certain way in order not to suffer.

Len

Then stop doing that!

Wow! How do you make your living?

But maybe you´re just escaping the world with its challenges?

Well, I'm not doing it, and they were your thoughts, so you must be doing

it. :)~

You're very suspicious of folks deluding themselves and others, Len. I'm not

saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying it's your thing. KnowhatImeanVern?

L.E: Does your lady share your retreat, or does she have her own TV, stereo,

collection of porno videos, snack food and sexy underwear, hidden in her

room, or in a shed, or in the basement?

It depends, if you tell me, I will. Provided you know it yourself ;-)

How do you earn your living, Phil, I'm interested? Are you old and

retired ? :-)

How do you earn your living, Phil, I'm interested? Are you old and

retired ? :-)

Len

I had a profitable career as an electrical engineer, and managed my income

well enough to temporarily focus exclusively on what I love the most. It's only

temporary and I don't wish to permanently retire, though I won't be

returning to the engineering field. (I'm 50)

No, it´s yours.

You spoke about a goal, so I pointed ot that a goal is wanting,

that´s all.

Len

You took one word out of context and developed your own thesis. The word

" goal " became the idea of me " subtly forcing oneself (wanting) to see

things in a certain way in order not to suffer. " (Your thoughts)

Never mind. Nobody hears each other here and it doesn't matter.

L.E: Did you use the standard extinguisher, you know, the RX 905 or the new

PR 707? And are you sure you got all the little embers. The ones that flash

into flame with the smallest breeze. So that cheescake doesn't interest you?

The chilled martini, the doobie, the immolation from rock and roll, the girl

in the black panties?

Good job. Just dead cold embers. That a boy!

So, a temporary retreat...

I don´t mind people, magazines and television, but I wouldn´t mind

permanently retiring though. Somewhere in South of France or Spain.

I´ve extinguished all my desires except of this one ;-)

L.E: What do you love the most Phil? Being on the Niz, or something else as

well?

Honestly, I often find this forum of marginal interest and overwhelmingly

humorless with a surprising degree of wild and woolly ego running amuk, but for

now it seems to serve a purpose.

When you're done with me, there are only six and a half billion more to go,

and you'll be better than everyone. Good luck with that. What I love is Truth.

Care for a bite?

The word

to see

thoughts)

The main thing is that my thesis is wrong ;-)

Len

Nope. Once again, the main thing is that it's your thesis. It tells you

volumes about who you think you are, but not if you pretend it has nothing to

do

with you.

Does it? Please tell me who I think I am. Or will it be something

you think I am? Hmmm...
