I agree with you that words can lead to death and destruction, but they are not death and destruction, Leading is not being.. Unless you are in the Liberator bomber that dropped the A bomb on Japan and you are saying. O.K., now! Drop It!! Or you are a member of a firing squad and the sargeant ? says, FIRE!! So in rare cases words and destruction can go together, just not usually. Larry Epston

Dr. Albert Ellis built an empire on his Rational-Emotive Therapy techniques. The words we use to abuse each other and ourselves everyday may not always lead to death or destruction but they do cause us humans an inordinate amount of emotional pain. All unnecessary and mostly done out of just not being conscientious enough of what we're thinking and how our thinking creates our reality and changes reality for ourselves and others. I believe our words are extremely packed with potential. I've never read a single word of Wayne Dwyer's books but apparently, from what I'm told, he's the latest guru on the power of intention and words have alot to do with whatever it is he's talking about in those books. I'd rather tell my child she is beautiful than that she's ugly. She'd believe every word I told her. Her innocent belief and the intention behind my words creates her reality or conditions her. So our words in everyday usage do usually harm or help. Look at the gossip tabloids!!!! I'm not licking my chops. I don't eat meat. Well, maybe just one lick. I just wanted you to become more aware of how your words might offend some people here. Like telling someone that they make you sick and you're going to puke them up. That wasn't nice!!! And you owe Bob an apology. I was only kidding about doing it for you, even though I understand how, yes, we're One and all that. But that doesn't help the One you harmed with your words.
