Another part of you is all human life. The ego is not your enemy or a danger or a threat. Where did you learn that? Not from your own experience I'll bet. That's someone else's idea. Larry Epston The ego is a collection of your own thoughts. The imagined will of ego is your will, and therefore if there is an enemy, a danger or a threat, it's you that poses a danger to yourself. Perhaps you've been reading too much and observing too little? You have a nifty bag of tricks that you employ to deceive yourself, sometimes referred to as negative ego. In order for this self deception to continue, you ignore the entire process, and this is what we refer to as the subconscious or unconscious. Since it's not actually possible for you to lie to yourself, the truth is actually known and is invariably reflected in your behavior, but this behavior is only noticed by others and not yourself, since to notice it yourself would mean exposing the self deceptions. Therefore, what you don't want to know about yourself is projected onto others, and everyone but you knows your own lies. It's pretty interesting to watch, actually. And I ask this next, not to be smarmy nor to make jest. These questions haunt me that's all. Who's watching with interest? Who's projecting deceptions of whom? Who's unconsciousness never lies? Who's ego is it that collects thoughts of whom? And why do I capitalize who? And who is the me that is haunted by what? just thinking in print..bob > >
