Cinder Rock Ladies that

Dance in the night

the young child's amazed at his

Faculty of sight

and it's Good

That he should

Have an Eye

 

Little toy soldiers

with red-dotted cheeks

They run with this child through his

Pearled city streets

And it's Good

That he would

Have tne Eye

 

Oh mother can you tell him?

Oh father do you know?

His questions are crackling

They come and they go

And it's sad

Very sad

Losin' the Eye

 

Now his memories are over

It all goes to show

And now when he's asked he says

" Nobody knows "

And it's bad

Very bad

to lose the Eye......
