L.E: I suppose if the ego self is a natural and organic part of a developing

human, various kinds of ailments, aberations, diseases, inifirmaties etc, can

corrupt it's general operation as a guiding light for the organism in social

and societal environments. Perhaps you are describing one of the aberrant

conditions of some ego self states in some people. I worked as a mental health

counselor for the homeless mentally ill, and met people with various unusual

conditions but can't generalize about what was going on as to causes or cures.

I

think once the ego state get out of order, it's somewhat like rotten cheese

and no one can restore it to any extent. We could perhaps define three ego

states: the norm for a certain society, the abnormal for that society, and the

ego

that is in the process of being shed or dissolved. Normal is in the middle so

to speak, the abnormal on one side, and the diminished, or dissolved ego on

the other. And please, these are just word structures to point to the

actuality, and they are not the truth in themselves. Or as is said, just a map

and not

the territory.
