Guest guest
< L.E: Perhas you are aware that I don't think highly of K. He asks so many < questions and we assume he has the answers which I doubt. Memory exist for most < of us, and memory is residue. For " experience to leave no mark " there can't < be any memory which for significant experiences is not likely. But, we are < surrounded by a total theatre of smell, sound, touch, hearing that we don't pay < much attention to. These experiences leave no mark. We are having them all < the time in every moment of wakefulness. How much to you remember from passing < through a day? Very little, no mark, no residue. K. spent his life asking < questions that he probably couldn't answer in kind of a verbal cloud that rained < on all around him. Just another preacher that learned how to manipulate an < audience just like thoese TV evangelists, Jewish rabbis, Muslim Imams and all < those that act with pomposity and superiority. < Larry Epston Larry, My take on why " K " asked so many questions is that questions invite/encourage enquiry. He never ever allowed himself to give " answers " per se, referring to that as providing someone with the " perfume " , a " concept " which then they run away with it thereby failing to gain radical insight for themselves. He wanted people to " work hard " to find " their " own answers, not to spoon feed them thereby encouraing co-dependency. Regarding the matter of being " ...surrounded by a total theatre of smell, sound, touch, hearing that we don't pay much attention to. These experiences leave no mark. We are having them all the time in every moment of wakefulness. How much to you remember from passing through a day? Very little, no mark, no residue. " , you've stated it youself. Yes, they left no residue, however, one was also denied the pleasure/enjoyment/insight that comes from being " consciously aware " of them. The trick/challenge to be aware fully from moment to moment accumulating no *debris*. The non-accumulation occurs naturally as an automatic by-product of looking observing innocently, without adding " knowledge " . Full (100%) perception obviates conception. In passing, it seems to me that since his way of teaching/being doesn't resonate with you (which is fine), you seem to indulge in going further than that by judging and even somewhat condemning /crucifying " K " with a tone of " superiority " that you accuse him and " ...TV evangelists, Jewish rabbis, Muslim Imams and all those that act with pomposity and superiority. " I could easily be mistaken, yet this is how your post strikes me! Michael

In ordinary life I can talk about those who kill millions without an attitude of superiority, and just make a statement about it. Yet my own feeling is one of revulsion and horror. And there are crooks, thieves and frauds in ordinary life as well. If my preference for honesty and respect for human life implies a higher standard and better behavior, so be it. I'm not concerned if I choose honesty over lying and that is a judgment about dishonesty and killing, murder and death. Larry Epston
