Guest guest
" The present state of theoretical physics implies that empty space has all energy and that matter is a slight increase of that energy and therefore matter is like a small ripple on this tremendous ocean of energy, having some relative stability and being manifest. " Therefore my suggestion is that this implicate order implies a reality immensely beyond what we call matter. Matter itself is merely a ripple in this background. " (David Bohm) Briefly there are three major new scientific " paradigms " . The three major shifts in scientific ideas are Implicate order, (the hidden order behind the universe), Dissipative structures (far-from- equilibrium systems like fluid vortices or life organisms) and Morphological fields (invisible fields which stabilize and fix the patterns of forms). The Implicate order is a boundless whole which can be envisioned as a great holo-movement which continually enfolds and unfolds. Future and past are within the Implicate order, which of itself just Is. The creator of the theory of implicate order, David Bohm, feels that there is even a super-implicate order, or maybe even a series of levels. His vision increasingly approaches that of our old seven- level map of the Philosophia Perennis. One suggestion is that the super-implicate order might be one of consciousness. " Let me propose that consciousness is basically in the implicate order as all matter is and therefore it's not that consciousness is one thing and matter another. Rather consciousness is a material process and consciousness is itself in the implicate order, as is all matter, and consciousness manifests in some explicate order as does matter. What Bohm seems to be saying from his standpoint of theoretical Quantum physics, is that in non-manifest reality (Implicate order) all is interpenetrating, interconnected and One. " So we say deep down the consciousness of mankind is one. This is a virtual certainty because even in the vacuum, matter is one; and if we don't see this it is because we are blinding ourselves to it. Eddington once said that " the stuff of the world is mind stuff and we are seeing the possibility that science could come to view consciousness as the evolutionary territory of the species as the mystics do. Another fragment of the theory which might help our investigation lies in the concept that space does not separate things, it unites them. Our normal view is of two separate points in space joined by a hypothetical dotted line in space. But there is a radical shift in perception if we see that only the dotted line is actually real, with two abstract points appearing on it. The event of individual man might be seen this way. For in this model there are no separate people joined by that hypothetical dotted line, only the line itself — mankind. This would mean that any sense of individuality would be false and an illusion. Another way of putting such a shattering idea is that space is more real than the objects within it. The tiny " ripple events of matter " in the Void can only be known through our minds and our minds are the event — that tiny ripple. In this revolutionary model we are not only shaped by evolution, but we are the shapers. " We're part of the movement, there is no separation between us and it, we are part of the way in which that shapes itself. One of David Bohm's favorite models for the implicate order or unfolding and enfolding is that of a dye being dropped in glycerine which is held between two rotatung cylinders. As one is turned, the drop disappears in a homogenous mixture within the background of glycerine. However, if the direction of rotation is reversed, the dye reappears as it was. Bohm suggests that existence manifests itself in a similar fashion. .......bob

Guest guest
That thing on Space reminds me : Two nights ago, very awake in a deep sleep, I was the night all around, filling everything, that velvety dark all envelopping omnipresent coat, and the last thought I sent to Patricia was : I am the night around and in your nostrils. That made her laught and woke her up. That night. _________________________ Nouveau : téléphonez moins cher avec Messenger !
