To talk about unconditioned attention is somehow to want the attention to be unconditioned, which means that we put a condition to attention, namely: it must be unconditioned ;-) To me attention starts gently, through watching whetever is asking for attention, then letting it enlarge itself naturally to see, hear, smell, to feel the body sensations, tensions, to feel the sensations flowing through the body, to watch some particular thoughts and the whole movement of thought...
