I guess I don't catch enough television! And I thought actually that I watched too much. As a young kid I know that I did. After reading your post, I too did a search and.. Wild is the Wind!.There is or was a TV show called 'The Ghost Whisperer " And indeed it's of very recent vintage and has as one of the main characters our unique and intriguing Jennifer Love Hewitt. Now it could be that I had heard of this show, I really don't know. I certainly never watched it. An perhaps in hearing of the show, if indeed that was the case, I subcosciously attuned to the title and used it in reference to whom I spoke in that post. In all truth I was referring to an individual of my aquaintance long ago, who talked without talking. This sounds undiscerning and possibly impossible or untrue, but it's a fact of my personal history that I spent a time with this individual and that he communicated in a manner that required and used no verbal aspect whatsoever. And even stranger was the fact that we talked more without the use of language, and he transmitted more without it's use, than all of the people and mentors that I had ever known prior to that era of aquaintance and somatesthesia we did spend together, in that time and desert. Your mentioning of Crazy Horse, of whom I hold great respect, brought this ancient one who befriended me to mind. My usage of the term 'Ghost Whisperer' was used as a descriptive name for who he was and how it was he operated.I don't mention his given name nor title as firstly he was not one for titles and considered given names as not true names(for reasons that may seem even more bizarre if I were to get into it), and secondly because he has living blood descendents who I still on occasion talk with, and verbally as well in these cases. These younger elements(though older than I) of his line, do not now even live in the same region anymore, and are not themselves inclined to dwell on the past as they still consider him to be present even though gone now many years from this 'realm' of ours. In deference to their wishes to not get involved and to not involve there father and grandfather, I only ever refer to him in metaphorical terms. And at the time of writing that post I could think of no more fitting a metaphor. I will use other terms henceforth as to not cause this confusion. It's funny though. And it's wild. And it again shows how synchronistic things happen because of causes way outside and beyond our makings. By this misusage of mine, we again found ourselves connecting at levels of being-time.One final confession: That last part, " The Will and the Way of the One who Mounts the Wisdom Horse " comes from a teaching within his kindred people and was marked just as such on the ground outside of a house of three rooms, with one incandescent lightbulb in only one of those rooms, as it's sole ornament beyond utensils for food preparation and cooking, and very simple and functional furniture. That abode being located on what, at the time, was a Reservation near Phoenix. This marking was done each morning on the dry ground and by evening had been blown away. This was a way and a ritual that was performed by him or a family member each newborn day. The markings and the blowing away were more than merely symbolic ..they were the whole of Time and sounded the thundering hooves of the Wisdom Horse itself. ........bob

The markings and the blowing > away were more than merely symbolic ..they were the whole of Time and > sounded the thundering hooves of the Wisdom Horse itself. > ........bob > I love that story... a story not of this world, as it were. Your " invented name " Ghost Whisperer has more resonance on my end that I can speak of... Incidentally, I used to live in Phoenix... for about 17 years. I grew up in Tucson. I spent many magical days imbued in the sacredness of the Arizona desert. Also, just as a curiosity... your mention of the Wisdom Horse in the previous post brought to mind the song by America, " A Horse With No Name " . When that came to mind the irony of the title of this thread struck me. And now you mention the desert, which if you know the song... I've been reflecting lately on how what I enjoy most on the couple of lists such as this where I participate is *not* the analyical clarification of nondual points of discussion. What interests me are the gems here and there of wholly organic extrusions of consciousness condensates. It strikes me that words can come forth as an elaboration of thought, as an expression of thought, but also words can come forth in a different way. In the first way words are " about things " . In the second way the words are the thing itself. So, for example, when you wrote, " The Will and the Way of the One who Mounts the Wisdom Horse, " that to me is of the second type. It is impossible to analyze such an expression. Someone who doesn't understand the statement may wonder, for example, " who " is it the mounts the horse? Where is this horse? etc. But the statement is not an ordinary statement. It can not be dissected. Those who are into dissecting with their discriminating minds [errr... *discerning* minds ] will count such statements as that one of yours as mere rubbish, or fantasy, or evidence of self-indulgent delusions. But what this is really about is left-hemisphere dominance vs. right-hemisphere dominance. The left- hemisphere dominant ones basically look down on the right-hemisphere dominant ones as pathetic losers, pipe-dreamers... the wantonly deluded. The right-hemisphere dominant ones tend to look at the left-hemisphere ones as square, out-of-synch, dull, and obsessively morose. You get the idea. There a few of us right-brainers that know how to talk left-brained, and some of us will actually try to get a " message across " to the left-brainers. So far, though, there haven't been notable successes in that arena (as far as I know). Bill
