A person addicted to cigarettes like Niz, may well be aware of his addiction or deficiency yet choose not to try to get rid of it by stopping smoking. Also, do you think my or your writings is an accurate indicator of deficiencies? And what about your deficiencies? Do you have any you are aware of, or does someone external to your ego have to tell you about yours? And the whole concept of deficiences is interesting because what standard is being used and what are the biases of the one using it. I mean, is a smoking habit a deficiency to you? Or alcoholism, or use or drugs. Is getting angry a deficiency or telling lies, or hurting people? How about going to war. Is wanting to kill an enemy a deficiency? It's easy to use the word deficiency with no examples as you do, but what exactly do you mean? And how carefully do you have to watch to catch someone in his deficiencies,, and can you evaluate that from someone's writings? I suppose that yes it is possible to do that. After all, Bob Nixon is as close to a certifiable maniac as I've ever seen as viewed through his behavior, but most members seemed to approve of his actions so who is most deficient, Bob or his admirerers? Is not acting when you see someone hurting another a deficiency of cowardice? Is approving while someone is being abused a deficiency? There is a standard window or frame that is used by psychiatrist to evaluate a client's mental health or sickness, but it is surprisingly wide. Your behavior has to be really really strange to be considered mentally ill and claim assistence from the State. And finally, out of all the people on this list why do you choose to use my name as an example? Is that your hatefulness peeking through? And is that a deficiency? Larry Epston First of all, the word Len used was " defenses " , not 'deficiencies' which is a fascinating misperception on your part. Deficiencies implies a judgment and this judgment is being made by you against yourself which is what results in the defenses as well as the misinterpretation. As far as the defenses, Len and I have been discussing them all along as they occur and you've been part of that discussion. It's almost like some kind of secret code to you since you don't seem to hear it, which is also fascinating. I know that makes you feel like a lab rat again, but after all you're the one running the maze.
