Guest guest
>>When I started working with healers, I discovered that my problem is not my relationships but the severe subconscious fear and feelings of insecurity that cripples me. It creates frequently occurring pain and it greatly diminishes the possibility of a blessed peaceful life! In my observation, pretty much all humans [including *healers*] have fear and insecurities! [and, that might be a further reason, why it might be easy to forgive yourself and those whom you think *caused* your fear! If you have *fear* because of your mother, father, spouse... why do others [including those *causing* fear] have this fear and insecurity?] Fear and insecurity so much of *your* or *my* condition as it is a prevailing *human* condition! IMO [in My Observation], practically, no human is entirely free of them! In my experience, the way is found not by trying to escape or eradicate them but by trying to *cultivate* that which you find good, sane, peaceful and blessed! IMO... at any moment, for those interested in peace, the first question worth asking is: - 'Can I be peaceful Right Now???' And, in my experience, the answer is almost always: Yes! The second question worth asking is: - 'If I get peaceful, can I still do what I am doing right now???' And, answer again is: Yes... if what I am doing is really 'productive', 'useful' or 'necessary'! As an added advantage, it also brings 'what I am doing' into my Attention! It makes me Aware of it, it makes me Conscious of it and by doing so, I gain some distance and freedom from it! The third question worth asking is: - 'If I get peaceful, can I still do what I am doing right now... as well or better???' The answer again is: Yes... if what I am doing is really 'productive', 'useful' or 'necessary'! And, that pretty much takes care of any 'conditioning' that we might have! And, it does so without having to 'work' on those conditioning! In my experience, 'working on conditioning' [alone] might be an endless *loop*! You solve one and you discover [or 'develop] two More! Our real problem lies in our 'tendency' to try to *escape* them in place of clearly see them, understand them and clearly know what is that we really want... ***Right Now***!!! In my experience, our *seeking* becoming *endless* because we keep ignoring Moment-to-Moment-Awareness and keep looking instead for a *magic pill* that will take away our responsibility of *consciousness*! L.E: As individual cells grouped together to make more complex organisms they were involved in an effort to feel secure from threat and extinction. As these groups of cells become organisms, that effort to survive continues in us. We are as animals and plants, complex organisms that have joined in communities to compete with each other for priority, and this continues as well. If you put yourself, the organism, in a protected place you can relax until you leave that place. There are all kinds of opportunities to do that and you can experience varying degrees of comfort, openess, non-threat and harmony of being. A clam has its way of self-protection, a fish or eel hides in the rocks, a crab burrows down into the sand. It is all the same thing with the same purpose. Protection. comfort, relaxation, etc. When the human organism relaxes and feels safe, the ego will diminish naturally and you as organism can experience your existence free of the defensive and aggressive ego. Much of this discussion is on an ego-self level, partly because of the use of words as language, and partly because that's the only way to communicate using the computer. Try to see youself, as an organism from the cell's point of view, or as a liver or kidney. How do you as brain feel riding around in a skull? Look at the situation from a different point of view and you will tell a different story. Larry Epston www.epston.com
