And more correctly Nisagadatta was in the Teaching, not the Teaching in

Nisagadatta. And the Teaching is in the Self... not the Self that's in

the Teachings...about which words fail. Funny.you almost see it than....

A word that Nisargadatta emphasizes perhaps more than any

other is " earnestness " . He stresses the utter importance of

earnestness, of complete seriousness.

In this way he is very like Krishnamurti. In Krishnamurti's

talks he is always utterly earnest, intensely present to the

inquiry.

You will find humor in Nisargadatta's teachings about as

often as you will find it in Krishnamurti's.

OOOHHH, it is not in the words of anybody that you`ll

ever find fun, humor and lighheartedness.

By understanding and living those words, by giving

them full expression, you`ll find far more than plain

fun.

Your cup will spill with gratitude ..

Don`t try to find anything in words...

there is nothing there.

Does anybody know where humor, lightheartedness, or just plain fun of

Nissargadatta's teaching is to be found?

He stresses the utter importance of earnestness, of complete

seriousness.

Enlightenment is very serious business and anyone caught having fun

will have their knuckles wrapped and their behinds switched!

Just my thinking but: when the new Rooting of Consciousness is

realised...a far surer Home than ever was the old individualistic

rooting of the personal ego, lost in insoluble conceptual chaos

(so 'they' say)........might not that old way of looking at things

and relations and people and play..might not that old worldview

appear funny? And weird? And misguided? And most certainly NOT to be

taken too seriously?

Now let's share the candies and ice?

What about " don't try to find anything in words...

there is nothing there " do you not understand?

Is it that distilled eloquence you read as

mere games with words?

Whether your experience of this list is as with

a bunch of " playing little gurus " depends on you.

While it could be that, it could also be so very

far from that.

Those who see games as what's being played tend

to find themselves as also playing.

If you don't want to experience this as game-playing,

then seek to the deeper meaning in those messages

that merit it. The potential for something very

rich *is* here... if you are open.

" The potential for something very

rich *is* here... if you are open. "

-That is something I can relate to, but not by reading or posting

messages that merely massages our egos. Rest of reply appears as

learned wisdom to me, like most other messages in this group.

The touch from the heart is missing, in my humble opinion.

Love you all tho

-That is something I can relate to, but not by reading or posting

messages that merely massages our egos. Rest of reply appears as

learned wisdom to me, like most other messages in this group.

The touch from the heart is missing, in my humble opinion.

Love you all tho

Hey, wait. You mean you believe ego is something that should be paid

attention to? Do you know how rare that is? Hehe.
