Hi Stuart, Based on my reading... this Pure, 'content less', thoughtless state of deep dreamless sleep is what Ramana [and many others] called the sate of 'non duality'! When this 'state' happened while physically awake... they called it Samadhi! Those, for whom this 'state' is [an almost] continuous and unbroken... they called them Jnani... For those, for whom this 'state' has not been yet recognized... they recommended Inquiry... For those, for whom this 'state' is 'seen' but, is yet not Steady... they recommended continued vigilance and practice...
