Dear bigwaaba,

I am not sure how you interpreted my

message above as " self-realization is

something to be achieved " that you

seem to be trying be counter above by

saying " self-realization is not

something to be achieved " !

Do you think when someone says this:

> > > > Ramana refers to these tendencies as

Vassana and asserts that their

elimination is needed for Jnana [True

Knowledge] to transform all of life and

for Peace to become unbroken! < < < < <

he/she means this:

" self-realization is something to be

achieved " . ???

I certainly don't interpret/understand

this statement [of mine] that way.

I am talking on the lines of Ramana'

teachings in which he talks regarding

'Peace becoming Steady' after repeated

Patrice and the need for practice to

make Peace steady.

You can refer to my post on Ramana's

quotes on Peace, its duration and

Steadiness becoming stronger with

practice and Ramana saying that...

Peace is Self-Realization for

clarification on this matter.

Regards,

ac.

Dear Arvind,

anytime a stress is put on some sadhana or practice

i remember that practice is useless in order to be what you have

always been

what you are has not been modified by whatever practice has happened

in the past and will never shift according to some intense sadhana

happening in the future. Luckily in a way!

while words do their work

we drink together at the same cup
