" Consciousness is a mirage " is a way of saying that

consciousness is not the content.

 

But consciousness is not a throw-away thing, an

evolutionary error.

 

Consciousness brings light to that profound mystery

you call Deep Sleep.

 

When consciousness focuses on itself (ego or self-

consciousness) the whole point is missed.

 

When consciousness settles for its little role of

being a light (aka " surrender " ) ... that whole vastness

comes into view.
