Guest guest
If there is in you any notions or feelings of bliss, trembling, shivering, quivering, diddering...palpatating hearts of joy, feelings of love unbounded, understanding(with a capital U), blessedness, shiverings of delight and ten thousand other sweet little movements in your body or mind, that spell RELIEF from the knock down, work-away, full of bullshit world.....you are so far from REALITY and GOD.....not even God could convince you to stop all the crap and ..come HOME. If this is your situation....WAKE UP.....smell the roses that are in your garden..not those in your head and in your words. You do have a HEART no? Not the beating kind....the KNOWING kind. The kind of Kindness not often found in the world or on these lists. And some so abhor TRUTH that they do make abomination of anything that is not in congruence with their own puny pinings. This is not sad nor pathetic nor sinful nor pitiable nor admirable nor likable nor understandable. This is the Way of the World. All the sublime feelings puffed up about solemnity and beauty are felt exactly as much and as deep, by tribal witchdoctors worshiping their totems, by canibals as their feast, those who slaughter as they war, and that list goes on and on. But I bet not one of them or those, has ever experienced the TRUTH of a bunch of friends on a beach playing volleyball in the sun, to the sound of the surf; or,of a single one, who gives aid to the street bum and doesn't do it because it's " the right thing to do " . There's True Grit..True Life...True God. And there is no waxing philosophical about it, no prose or poetry that even comes close to it's expression. Jesus, Shankara, Buddha, Niz, Ramana...etc. etc.(the list is long!)..didn't sit around and see how good they could come off or sound to the boys and girls. These were Men...they got up and went..got their hands and feet dirty and occassionaly came to some pretty good disagreements with folks. They Lived Life. Now that's Righteous! The people who use their words or works for their own premeditated ideas of right and wrong...they are on a mission, and have an agenda, that get's them through life but never lets them get on the 'inside', where all their nonsense comes to an end and a True Light of True Light shines. ....bob

Why oppose when so much more valuable is to share vulnerably here what is of your own experience? Perhaps some of what I said does apply to me as well, as my message was aimed at minimizing bombastic flaming here. So could see myself as playing " keeper of the faith " in my own way. But since this list in effect is unmoderated, a point here and there about consideration for others can seem in order to me. I was struck by a particular quote of Nisargadatta where he says, " Don't criticise others! " Perhaps you don't see your post as criticism of anyone. If that is really true, then all I have said here and in previous post does not apply. Bill

No. Perhaps you don't see your post as criticism of anyone. > If that is really true, then all I have said here and in > previous post does not apply. > Your perhaps is correct. If at anytime I come off as directing any statement at anyone in particular, that's not the case; if it is the case, I will say so. I think I've made that clear on this list before. If I am posting what appears to be a 'misive' or deregation or corrective of any sort, I am also in the crowd to whom that post is directed. I have a style of writing that can be read into by many as meaning many things, I guess. Frankly I no longer care how it's taken. I know what's right for me and for me only. I'm a journeyer Bill.....I have not arrived(and hope I never do in this lifetime). So as I go along the trail, I'll continue to scratch my musings on the rocks. If a passerby should read any of them and believe they are addressed to himself...he may be right. But it is he who addresses the envelope...not I. That scratching was for my own amusement and perhaps a guidepost for those who can see it as such: the ponderings of a man in search of his and the World's soul. ...bob

Guest guest
Dear seeker; Miracles & Lord Let us assume that somebody is suffering from some problem. Lord gave this sufferance for his sin, which only brings realisation. This is the divine administration. Lord only knows when to relieve him. If human beings have been given powers, they do not know the full details of the soul, they may misutilise these powers for curing etc. But this is against His administration. Lord will not be pleased with the person who is using Lord's power only to cure him. The powers obtained by human beings are like stones in the hands of a mad fellow, who do not have any discrimination. Moreover when human beings do the miracles, they take the credit of them. The owner of these powers is Lord and human being cannot take the credit of them. The love of Lord on human beings is more than our brotherly love on the co-human beings. So we need not interfere in His administration. Lord in human form preaches the true knowledge. But miracles are required to convert atheists into theists. Sometimes people approach, who show powers thinking to exploit those powers for their selfish end. They want to use that power to cure some big diseases of family members, to get solutions of their long-standing family problems etc. Such people are not bothered of Lord but concentrate on His power. They are in hurry to get their problems solved. They will finally end up in such people, who in turn loot them. When one is desirous of lord only with out selfish intention, He will definitely find Him only. Our pious desire attracts Him and our selfish bad odour repels Him. Generally people are interested in the powers of Lord to get self-enjoyment in the form of visions, telepathy, astral travel, power of curing diseases etc….This is not the true path of devotion. The very meaning of devotion is true love on Lord. People aspire for spiritual growth. But the meaning of their spiritual growth is more visions, get powers for curing diseases of self and other to get name and fame, perform miracles etc…. These people are ignorant in one way because they have not realised the Lord & His true devotion. Spiritual growth itself means increase of devotion on Lord day by day by getting more and more divine knowledge. They do not have any trace of devotion on Lord. But they pretend that they have devotion in front of Lord for getting His powers. No human incarnation had ever encouraged such things. The reason for interest in His powers only (and not in Lord) is greed for fame, selfishness etc. Such people end up in such gurus only who encourage these type of activities. They can never come near to Satguru (Lord in Human form like Jesus, Krishna, Mohd. Prophet, Buddha …..) who do not encourage such activities. The real devotee are (like Swami Vivekananda, Prahlada, Gopikas, Hanuman ....) diamonds and remaining are like gravel stones. Lord is also not bothered of gravel stones, which will be in majority. Jesus also said, the true path leading to Lord is very very narrow with full of thorns with 2 or 3 people. Once one got used to these powers, name, fame etc. it is difficult to come out of this. This is a sort of addiction. But Lord is not pleased with him and will punish him latter. This is definitely not the right path. Satguru (Lord in human form) also gives divine visions to disciples to improve their faith. Finally the divine knowledge only helps in getting the real devotion towards the lord. As long as a disciple wants to use his guru for his selfish ends, he will get into that of type of guru, who will utilise his services for his benefit. At the Lotus Feet of Shri Datta Swami www.universal-spirituality.org Your perhaps is correct. If at anytime I come off as directing any statement at anyone in particular, that's not the case; if it is the case, I will say so. I think I've .................................................................................\ .......of them and believe they are addressed to himself...he may be right.
