" For me there is only the traveling on paths that have heart, on any

path that may have heart. There I travel, and the only worthwhile

challenge is to traverse its full length. And there I travel, looking,

it is easy to declare all is meaningless

it is called nihilism

but what a meaningless philosophy nihilism is!

are you proposing nihilism, or that quote in particular

as meaningless?

IMHO there is no-thing but the pathless path of I Am, ever being

written as the book of One life. (We each have our own little

asterisk--how could we not?)

The assumption of an entity who can travel....who has the ability to

decern and choose...... a 'path with heart' negates itself.

Traveling a 'path with heart' as opposed to traveling a path with no

heart......is meaningless drivel.

What in hell is a 'path with heart'?

In Hell there are no paths ;)

......bob

P.S. I made a booboo when I used that quote anyway. I misread and

mistyped. I thought it said 'math with a heart'. :-)

As if a notion such as " a path with heart " is either

inherently meaningless or not.

For a particular person at a particular point that

notion can be very precious and valuable.

At another point it can be discarded.

" Path With A Heart "

This is an excellent and sensitively written book by a former

Buddhist monk and clinical psychologist, Jack Kornfield.

Suggesting to another that they should 'take the path with heart' is

a bromide for a disease that does not exist.

Dispensing useless prescriptions is definilely not a path with heart.

hi toombaru toombaru. I just named the title of a book and named the

author. No dispensing of Rxs here.....never. to each and for each,

their own. and really, I think Don Juan was speaking only for

himself. He(whether real or not)only spoke of what was for him his

way and generally couldn't care much what anyone else did or

thought. If his method was useless so be it. but he seemed to find

something for himself in it. uh.....if dispensing useless

percriptions is definetly not a path with a heart as you say, than

you must know what kind of path that is and ipso facto what kind of

path a path WITH a heart is, or you couldn't make that statement

otherwise. As for the bromide....well sometimes we all need a good

burp.

Hey........You're talkin to a fella who still carries scars on his

shins from power walking through the sagebrush in the dark....with his

eyes closed.

Even though its pretty well known that Don Juan existed on Carlos's

mind....he had a great influence on this life..... (Present scars

included)....LOL

No, it´s the air freshener you smell.

For fresh air you need to open the window in the toilet.
