We know that words like electrons quantum leap

from one level of meaning to another. With tone,

a word could be neutral, welcoming, or aggressive.

with context a word could mean one thing, or another.

With attribution words can gain or loose importance.

Words uttered by a loved one, are more meaningful

than those of a stranger. The word of a liar are less

credible, than those of a trusted friend. Words of wisdom

from a fool's mouth carry no weight, and yet, at the very

pinnacle of the pyramid of words shine our very own words

fresh from our lips. Vanity and pride are players in the semantical

game.

then the pyramid must be upside-down

if vanity and pride are at the tip

IMO a more important implication from your

words is that words standing on their own

are meaningless. meaningfulness and

interconnectedness are deeply entwined.

look at a forest floor... and note how there is

no spot of ground that is not richly interconnected

with everything else.

in reality words are the same.

but vanity and pride draws " sweet boundaries "

around certain ones and proclaims them as

" special " .

and from there it all goes to hell.
