Guest guest
< Your French saying seems applicable only in the sense of " moral < betterment through imposed ideals " -- you can certainly make a better < computer, or a better sandwich. < ;-) < -- D. Thanks for pointing out and making clear the distinction, Dan. I left out mentioning I was referring to the " psychological/emotional " pursuit of the " better " (or *different* or *other*) as being an act of violence rather than, as you said, that of making a better sandwich. Come to think of it, seems to me that most *shoulds* initiate and perpetuate a lot of violence against oneself, others, and the world. Whereas *clarity*, it appears to me, is never violent...even though it may express itself *forcefully* for lack of a better word. It is the violence I am doing to myself that requires immediate attention. But my attention is going to everything but that! It's called " keeping myself in ignorance " which is really the basis of this kind of violence. ;-) -- Dan
