Still love 'em both. Did you know that the music to Alfie, composed by Bert Bacharach, was inspired by a sparkling wine....he only had to drink 4 bottles before the melody mystically came to him. Now as for Gracie...her inspiration came from little acidy zingers of a different sort. Doesn't matter though.....they made some great music. As for Hal David's lyrics.....very few have been able to capture so much in so few words. A true American Master in my book.
