Hi Mat, I'm not sure this is the question you're asking but it's what I get from what I've read of your posts: Can a person totally escape conditioning? The person itself is a result of conditioning. It's irrational and a misunderstanding to expect the *person* to become unconditioned. That which is free from conditioning is also free from personhood. That which is alone is not the person, but awareness, to which all people appear. It's alone not by being by itself, but by being inseparable from anything. In this sense, awareness is indivisable from anything, and not apart from anything. It really can't be called alone or together! But what is this way is not the person. The person never achieves a " view from nowhere, " or a God's eye view which knows all and sees all of what truly is. Of course, this is just how I see it! -m
