Guest guest
Our bodies break down, sometimes when we're 90, sometimes before we're even born, but it always happens and there's never any dignity in it. I don't care if you can walk, see, wipe your own ass. It's always ugly. Always. You can live with dignity, we can't die with it.

Not mine....OK? maybe you haven't been around the dying or death very much, I don't know, and it doesn't matter. maybe it's all beautiful and dignified in some absolue and fundamental way...everything is I guess. but in the relative look at relative things regarding death and dying.....and I've been there more often than I care to think about...it(dying/death) aint no beautiful thing just oozing with dignity. Tha's crap. even enlightened Buddhiist monks who immoliated themselves on the streets of Saigon understood this.....what effect do you think they were going for with there demonstration of the stupidity of what was known as " Nam " ? ask someone who was there.or the kids in Iraq or the girl soldier we just buried over here in Canada, who was blown away by Afghanistan by insergents(or freedom fighters, depending on the view taken). Not a single one would talk about the dignity or beauty of THAT friggin' Beast. The only ones that do that are the military commanders and politicians who give eulogies for the fallen. The fallen ARE heros, but the falling, at least in this world of wonders that are all relative...there was not one damn thing glorious, or wonderful, or fucking philosophical about it. That's MY stance, and it ain't no dance. ........bob

But a metaphor of a river going into the ocean is as useful as a bicycle for a pig. What the hell does that picture have to do with the bodies blown up or dying of incurable diseases or just born dying in sickness? It don't fly guy. And you can come up with all the 'we are all flowingness in quiescence' and 'nothing ever having been from the first'...or whatever other stuff that you sputter and whiz about with, and turns your crank by the act of saying such trite shit. You are not the same (singular and relative) person as those dying, your life is not the same as their dying. And you are cheapening everything they're going through by pretending you are. ......bob

I see it! I see it.......I thiught it was a rat..but no, it's a mouse...a mighty mouse.....all together now: Mister Trouble never hangs around When he hears this Mighty sound: " Here I come to save the day! " That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way! Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right Mighty Mouse will join the fight On the sea or on the land He gets the situation well in hand So though we are in danger We never despair 'Cause we know that where there's danger He is there! He is there! On the land! On the sea! In the air! We're not worryin' at all We're just listenin' for his call: " Here I come to save the day! " That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!
