Guest guest
When you read what the founding fathers had to say for themselves, they sound more like " terrorists " . " The spirit of resistance to government, " Jefferson wrote, " is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive. " Imagine an American president saying that today. Like the remarks of an outspoken old grandmother, the sayings of the founding fathers have embarrassed generations of their less confident successors. They remind us where we come from. They remind us that it is the people who break rules that are the source of America's wealth and power. Those in a position to impose rules naturally want them to be obeyed. But be careful what you ask for. You might get it.
Guest guest
It is also, the folks who resist what is that are the spirit of change and the on-going evolution of humanity. This is the basic foundation upon which America was built. from another post I sent to another group: I am of the conviction that the information needing to be presented in this day and age of terror, of immediate dissemination via all the various technologies, what needs to be promoted is what is working rather than what is not working. We in America with enquiring minds have known this for a long time. We are all engaged in what we are and what we do or not do; all systems are breaking down, have been breaking down, political, economical, psychological, educational, religious. It is called the Evolution of the Spirit of America. The free spirit which is/was/will ever be the call that brought America into being shall keep her ever yearning for freedom on her deepest level, and as long as one person with conviction and insight remains on her shores, America is America.
